I took 7 pages of notes! I have FL. Five years ago a kidney stone saved my life as they CT Scan found a "medium stone" and (what turned out to be) FL. A subsequent bone marrow biopsy found it was 95% infected with FL. I began a modified R&B the next day. No R at first as they feared all my "good" B cells may be killed and were afraid of CRS. Recently, I've had an ultrasound which found increased, and new, lymph node growth. As a result of that finding I've had a Chest/Abdomen/Pelvis CT Scan w/contrast and tomorrow - November 22nd 2022 - I'll see the results of that scan. Obviously, over the years I've followed Fl and DLBCL (the evil cousin) very closely. As a Canadian (BCCA - B. C. Cancer Agency) I'm delighted I found this excellent Canadian update - the day before I see my new results! At least for one day I will consider it a "good omen." I'm so glad Mr. Google led me to it!

It seems CLL/SLL are always discussed in this manner, which can be comforting. However, I rarely hear anyone discuss how they handle the possibility of Richter’s Transformation, which completely changes the dynamic, and makes it difficult for me to be ‘comfortable’ with my Dx.

With the newer safer drugs that you can take for a fixed duration i wonder if there should still be watch and wait.

I went to the ER complaining of feeling feverish, weak with a lump near my navel and a growing belly! After 4 hours, the Doctor said the fluid collecting in my belly is crushing my right kidney because my utterer is being pinched ! They poked a hole on the right side of my body near my kidney so the urine can flow out into a bag that they attached to the right side called a nephrostomy bag! Is follicular lymphoma hereditary?

I have a US biopsy appointment this Wednesday. I had a blood test which once came back abnormal and then within two weeks came back normal. However I still have swollen lymph nodes plus lumps which my GP thinks might be lipomas but there are around 8 on my lower back and three over my left lower rib cage and a swelling of manubrium since two months ago. I am really concerned that I’m being misdiagnosed and the lumps might be cancerous tumours. Have you ever had patients with lymphoma which had a normal blood test?

I was diagnosed B-cell lymphomas which are types of lymphoma affecting B cells. Lymphomas are blood cancers" in the lymph nodes.
